Hyazinth de Cavallère, once a young country nobleman with lofty ideals who came to the city of Antipolis, ruled by corruption and crime, to help people as a masked avenger, is now just a shadow of his former self after the death of his wife Elisa. Hyazinth suspects who is responsible for his wife's death: his former lover, the assassin Alexandra, who has not gotten over being rejected by him.
