Table tennis and tennis are rarely covered in physical education classes. Even when physical education teachers attempt to introduce these racket sports, it is usually done sporadically and without a systematic approach. As a result, students seldom have the opportunity to properly learn and play these attractive, exciting, and recreationally relevant games. Based on a game-oriented concept, this double lesson on (table) tennis demonstrates how these sports can be successfully and contemporarily taught starting from grade 5. Step by step, it addresses primarily technical, but also simple tactical elements, to equip students with the skills necessary to participate successfully in both games. The book includes 9 practice units for tennis and 11 for table tennis.
