As many documents of the family were lost during their expulsion from their homeland, Calixt Prince Biron of Courland initially had to conduct extensive research both domestically and abroad. Competent and helpful experts assisted in finding old records, accessing sources, opening public and private archives, deciphering and translating writings, acquiring photographs, and organizing this collection to build an exciting family history.
