Product details
The noble family of Uslar has its origins in the town of the same name in Lower Saxony. The first documented mentions of the family name can be found there as early as the 12th century AD. Through the exchange of properties and castles between the Uslar family and Gleichen Castle, there was an increasing intertwining of the two name lines, until in 1825 King George IV of Hanover accredited the name von Uslar-Gleichen. The author of this work, Baron Edmund von Uslar-Gleichen, is also the author of the title Contributions to a Family History of the Barons von Uslar-Gleichen.
