Dr. Jörn Kohlhammer is the head of the Visual Analytics department at Fraunhofer IGD. He studied computer science with business administration at LMU Munich and earned his doctorate in 2005 from TU Darmstadt. Dr. Kohlhammer is the author and co-author of several books as well as numerous technical articles and conference papers. He is a regular speaker at industry and research events and is a recognized expert in the fields of Visual Analytics and Visual Business Intelligence. Dirk U. Proff is the founder and Chief Executive Officer responsible for Strategy and Corporate Development at BLUEFORTE. He studied business informatics at the private University of Applied Sciences Wedel and Administration and Management at Harvard University. After his teaching assignment in Business Information Processing at Euro-Business-College, he worked for several leading companies.
