Adrian Haack demonstrates the great potential of performative teaching and learning methods to initiate processes of personal reflection and development, which are part of a successful professionalization of English teachers. Theoretically grounded and illustrated with practical insights, it is shown how drama pedagogical seminars promote the development of self-competence in teacher education students. The long-term empirical study highlights the relevance of drama pedagogical training events for the professional careers from the perspective of the seminar participants.
