Product details
In this fully revised and expanded edition, the standardization developments of recent years have been taken into account. The focus was on the expansion of the standardization of efficiency classes and their metrological validation, as well as the further improvement of standards for measuring partial discharges in insulation systems and for qualifying insulation systems exposed to impulse voltages, such as those caused by frequency converters. Additionally, a new guideline for measuring winding end vibrations in large electrical machines has been established with DIN EN 60034-32 (VDE 0530-32). Furthermore, fundamental standards such as DIN EN 60034-1 (VDE 0530-1), DIN EN 60034-2-1 (VDE 0530-2-1), and DIN EN 60034-12 (VDE 0530-12) have undergone significant minor and major expansions during the revisions. Explanations regarding the standards of the DIN EN 60034 (VDE 0530) series "Rotating Electrical Machines" aim to clarify the technical-physical background of the limit values, permissible deviations, and testing methods established in the standards. This serves to avoid misunderstandings in the interpretation of the DIN EN 60034 (VDE 0530) series of standards as well as IEC 60034, with an international focus. It also mentions and justifies instances where German experts could not assert their views in international standardization committees.
