Downton Abbey in Pomerania from 1913 to 1919 - The first part of the grand family saga about an aristocratic family caught between tradition and true love on the eve of World War I.

May 1913: Konstantin, the eldest son of the count and heir to the Greifenau estate, dares to do the unthinkable: he falls in love with a commoner, even worse - with the village schoolteacher Rebecca Kurscheidt, a staunch social democrat. The two are separated by worlds: not only the difference in social class but also their differing worldviews.

For Katharina, the youngest daughter, the countess plans a dream wedding with a nephew of the German emperor - although it soon becomes clear what a monster lies behind the aristocratic facade. But her heart is also given to another.
