Flickering, captivating, intense. After finishing school, Pete's old clique gathers to celebrate one last time before everyone goes their separate ways. From the very beginning, it is clear that this hot summer evening will end badly. And indeed, by the end, there are two missing: Raymond, Pete's anxious friend who never quite fit in, and Stella, a former classmate. When Stella's naked body is later found in the river, suspicion falls on the absent Raymond. Pete himself, who investigates on his own, also comes under the police's scrutiny.
