Almost every day, I remember for a moment what happened. Zoni Weisz. I have lived an extraordinary life, with a tragic beginning. This book is about everything I am or have been in my life: husband, father, grandfather, florist, designer, Sinto, and a survivor of the Holocaust. I hope that my story encourages anyone who has had a difficult start in life. Under National Socialism, half a million Sinti and Roma were murdered by the Germans. When Zoni Weisz was seven years old, his family was deported and murdered in concentration camps. He himself was able to jump onto another train at the beginning of the deportation with the help of a Dutch policeman. Later, he received an apprenticeship as a gardener at the Royal Court - the beginning of an amazing career.
