Diverse and colorful. With the political upheaval, Russia has undergone a societal transformation over the past two decades: once rigid forms have been broken, and personal and cultural life has become more varied, fundamentally changing the conditions for literature. Both the themes and the language used by young authors today are new. The selected texts have been published in the last ten years and are characterized by their brevity and a concentrated, sometimes fragmentary narrative. They thematically reflect the new Russia, as well as the country's long storytelling tradition.
