Sebastião Salgado - The Salt of the Earth. Sebastião Salgado is one of the most renowned photojournalists in the world. For 40 years, the Brazilian has documented the changes in the world across all continents. He has witnessed international conflicts, wars and their consequences, famines, displacement, and suffering. Salgado himself nearly succumbed to the emotional toll of this work, if not for the start of a new, monumental photography project: "Genesis." A large part of our planet remains untouched. For the past decade, Salgado has dedicated himself to these paradisiacal places on Earth. The German director Wim Wenders has made an impressive film about Salgado, which will be released in theaters starting mid-November. He was assisted by Salgado's son, Juliano Ribeiro, who accompanied his father with a film camera for many years. The film focuses on Salgado and his commitment to nature.
