Kirchzarten is the most peaceful place in the world. Until one day at dawn, a wooden shed catches fire and suddenly an inferno breaks out. Devastating explosions surprise the volunteer fire department and claim a life. It turns out that unknown individuals had set up an arms depot under the shed. Freiburg's chief inspector Louise Bonì faces the most challenging case of her career. The clues lead back to the crumbling Yugoslavia of the 1990s. But when a cold-blooded murder occurs, Louise begins to realize that the case has far greater dimensions.
