How does the effect of images come about? Martin Schuster succeeds in presenting the most important findings of perception psychology, psychoanalysis and comparative behavioral research in their relation to art in an easily understandable way. By analyzing individual examples from art, film and advertising, it is shown how great works and, in general, the results of creative processes are perceived individually by the respective viewer.
