Andreas von Tuhr's work was published as the tenth part of the "Systematic Handbook of German Legal Science," edited by Karl Binding, and is dedicated to the general part of civil law. The work is structured into two volumes. The present first volume focuses on general doctrines and personal rights. Initially, von Tuhr examines subjective rights and obligations as well as property. Only then does he address personal rights, discussing natural persons and legal entities in detail, each in its own chapter.
