Product details

How far does the criminal liability of internet providers extend? This work presents an initial, in-depth monographic representation embedded in the dogmatics of criminal law on this current issue. Martin Popp begins by describing the technical foundations of a computer network and provides an overview of the control and response options available to a network operator. Subsequently, the central question is examined regarding the extent to which a network operator is obligated to monitor and prevent misuse. The basis for this investigation is a thorough analysis of the TDG and MDStV and the resulting consequences. The focus of the work is on the question of the criminal relevance of typical provider behaviors, particularly in relation to so-called distribution offenses. A central role is played by the treatment of these issues.
