Product details

The question of the ground is not only a central theme in Heidegger's thinking but also in contemporary deconstruction. In both cases, it arises from the historical experience of the abyssal nature of being in the end times of metaphysics. However, while in Heidegger it unfolds towards the necessity of an initially grounding and grounded being, in the deconstruction as shaped by Derrida, it manifests as a questioning and de-grounding of any metaphysical foundation. In her investigations, the author initially sets out to trace Heidegger's thinking of the ground as an abyssal grounding, particularly in relation to his "Contributions to Philosophy (From Event)," while simultaneously demonstrating the abyssal grounding character of this thought itself. It is shown how Heidegger reveals the original essence of the ground.
