Part One begins two months after the resurrection of Lazarus, when Jesus returns from his travels in pagan lands. Magdalene hears about the time he spent with the sage who gifted the infant Jesus with gold at his birth. The reader then experiences a series of initiations that Magdalene undergoes in a remote cave as preparation for the Passion of Christ. In the second part, we learn about conspiracies against Jesus and witness the triumphant entry into Jerusalem, the cleansing of the temple, the speeches to the Greeks, and the anointing by Magdalene. The third part covers the Passion and the Resurrection.
