Business informatics has been dealing with various aspects of how relevant information can be provided to executives for several decades. However, until now, the focus has primarily been on executives in the business environment, while administrative managers have received little attention. Petra Wolf combines insights into leadership work in management, politics, and administration, and develops a toolkit for information needs analysis in municipal management. She creates need profiles that are oriented towards the process of municipal issue management and serve as the starting point for the development of an appropriate information offering. She demonstrates that the topic-oriented structuring of information provides the basis for meeting ad hoc information needs and presents a corresponding structure.
