Many people search for a vision for their lives and how to realize it. Against this stand their own resistances and fears. The Hero's Journey describes the way in which desires and the need for protection come together, clearing the path to a deeper and more fulfilling life. Paul Rebillot comes from theater and found his way to humanistic psychology at the world-renowned Esalen Institute in California. The process of the Hero's Journey emerged from the combination of these two elements.
