The book is an invitation to everyone who appreciates open kindergarten work or is curious about this educational approach. Almost 20 years have passed since Open Kindergarten was first published. In the meantime, a consistently implemented child-centered orientation has established itself and enriched early childhood education. Developments from practice for practice are now presented. It becomes evident that the Open Kindergarten is fundamentally understood and implemented as a relational approach. Participation and inclusion are important topics in this context. The book begins with a differentiated contribution about the changes of the last 20 years. It concludes with a critical examination of an unacceptable education policy, as the framework conditions do not align with the increasing demands and tasks.
