Survival or death in war often depends on a touch of luck - "soldier's luck," as those who repeatedly risk their lives in their missions call it. Elite soldier Robert Sedlatzek-Müller had that touch of luck when he miraculously survived a rocket explosion in Afghanistan. But since then, nothing has been the same. Tormented by massive fears and aggression, he increasingly alienates himself from his family and surroundings. It is only later that he realizes this is the result of an illness that many soldiers bring home from their deployments: post-traumatic stress disorder, or PTSD. Now, a whole new battle begins for him, one not covered in the Bundeswehr manuals - the fight to return to life, to have PTSD recognized as an occupational disease, and against the ignorance in politics and society.
