Product details
Volume 4 of the Diggelmann collected works in 6 volumes. A coincidence led Walter M. Diggelmann to the subject of his novel "The Legacy": He learned from an acquaintance how the family of the avowed communist and PdA member Konrad Farner was treated in the Zurich lake community of Thalwil after the Hungarian uprising. Diggelmann investigated the story of boycott and persecution and soon realized that he was dealing with a striking yet typical example of what politically dissenting individuals faced during the Cold War. The idea for the new novel was born: in a semi-documentary, semi-fictional form, it would illustrate how the patterns of persecution operated, who the masterminds behind the actions were, and what political backgrounds they came from. The thesis: the anti-communist arsonists of the present.
