This book provides a collection of games, exercises, stories, and songs that focus on slowness. Simply becoming slower is not the goal. Speed is good, but not all the time. Children also need to be able to calm down. Speed should be task-oriented, meaning they should also be able to slow down again and not fall into a constant state of hyperactivity, which prevents them from managing tasks effectively. Many of the games and songs therefore address speed and aim to consciously slow it down and then speed it up again. This helps children learn to differentiate and become more aware, allowing them to increasingly move consciously from one to the other, from slow to fast, and from fast to slow.
