The French poet and pilot Antoine de Saint-Exupéry (1900-1944) was already recognized and successful during his lifetime. He became a cult author of the post-war decades, although he himself saw himself more as a professional pilot who wrote on the side. His most famous work is undoubtedly The Little Prince. It was first published in 1943 in New York, where Saint-Exupéry was in exile. Anna Silivonchik was born in 1980 in Homel, Belarus, and is a graduate of the Belarusian College of Art and the Belarusian Academy of Art in Minsk, specializing in painting. Numerous national and international exhibitions followed. She has presented her works in Germany, the Netherlands, Poland, and the USA, among others. For about 15 years, she has been illustrating children's books in collaboration with Ukrainian publishers.
