This book showcases two series of drawings by Irene Weingartner: the seismographic recordings and the laboratory, which the Zurich artist has been working on for over five years. To discuss the question of whether artists can generate imaging processes, five scientists were invited to comment on Weingartner's recordings. The drawings are described and illuminated from various perspectives through the written scientific positions and art historical texts.
