In a foreword to one of his books, Hüsch states that for a long time he was not aware of how Christian his work had been from the very beginning. He himself could not describe when this became increasingly clear to him. It was only in the eighties that he began to define texts as Christian, whether as a psalm or a sermon. Whatever his secret may be: a community gathers around him, wherever and for whatever he appears, spontaneously and with an unstoppable dynamic. He could found a church.
