Product details
Hüsch is the only poet among German cabaret artists. Other cabaret performers create verses for cabaret - Hüsch creates cabaret for his verses. If he were sharper and more modernist, he would be Enzensberger; if he were more old-fashioned and idyllic, he would be Ringelnatz. Melancholy protects him from sharpness, while intellect keeps him away from the idyllic: thus, he is a unique kind of poet, an anti-cabaret artist.
