The narrative follows the course of the seasons: summer, autumn, winter, spring, and reports on events typical of an alpaca's life as well as special occurrences. The story spans over four years, during which Jason grows up. Here and there, specific alpaca-related topics are discussed in more detail. However, the book does not claim to be a non-fiction book or a guide to alpaca care and husbandry. It aims to convey the joy of these fascinating animals with their wonderful eyes, which is also supported by over 30 illustrations that correspond to the text. Alpaca husbandry has been gaining popularity in Germany for several years now.
