Hugo Kükelhaus (1900-1984) - carpenter, ecologist, philosopher, craftsman, and unconventional thinker, whose critique of a sensory-hostile architecture and environment has gained particular significance today, in the age of information and virtual reality. "Organ and Consciousness" teaches how the hidden realities of our physical-sensory experience can be revived: a guide to wonder. "From Seeing to Observing" is Kükelhaus' last lecture (Herrischried, Autumn 1984). In his afterword, Elmar Schenkel reflects on the person Kükelhaus and highlights the relevance of his thinking.
