That Bruno Specht, retired chief inspector of the Vienna Criminal Police, is confronted with a brutal crime during a vacation in his beloved Styrian homeland deeply disturbs him. He had actually planned to explore the picturesque landscape of Schilcherland with his wife Anna and to spend the evenings enjoying a glass of wine and a hearty snack. Instead, shortly after his arrival in Stainz, he finds himself embroiled in the investigation surrounding the murder of a young woman. To make matters worse, he also runs into the handsome Robert, a former colleague from the Vienna Security Office, who, after being dismissed from the police force, has switched sides and embarked on a criminal career.
