In broad daylight, a man is murdered at a gas station in Dresden. No one witnessed the crime, but one customer stood out to the cashier. Chief Inspector Karin Wolf and her colleagues are completely in the dark about the identity and possible motives of the suspect. It is only when a second murder occurs that they realize the trail to the murderer leads back to a rape case from three years ago. The investigators are horrified to discover that one of the rapists seems to be from their own ranks. And this man is now also pursuing the unknown woman.
