Reto Gloor and Markus Kirchhofer tell the story of Johann Rudolf Meyer Senior and Junior, two of the most influential personalities from Aargau in the 18th century. Starting with a small cloth trade, Meyer Senior, together with his son, built a successful textile company in Aarau. Through global trade, they eventually became some of the wealthiest citizens of the city. However, they also engaged in promoting science and culture. They are also known for the famous Meyerschen Stollen, which can still be visited in Aarau today.
