To be precise, the book is about my favorite jacket. Hans-Christian Dany tracks jogging pants, bomber jackets, camouflage. Supreme, Yeezys, Off White, Vetements - what has passed through the spotlight of fashion fades into darkness, becomes devalued and forgotten. The eternal know-it-alls, who understand every feeling without having experienced it, boast mightily: they would have known long ago that what is disappearing was never more than an overstretched bow. The less enlightened feel cheated by what suddenly should no longer apply. And those wronged by life lament the fashion susceptibility of those who had fun in their place. Yet it is impossible to be against fashion. This greed it stirs up, the desire to want something, to keep up, can perhaps still be suppressed by the self-disciplined. But one cannot be against it, because it is fashion.
