Kjartan Hatløy (1954) spreads out a fan of prose poems whose parts all meet at one point: the white gravel path leading to his house in Salbu, a small settlement by the Åfjord. In his excursions Hatløy goes deep into the history of the earth, speaks to the dead, he observes in detail plants, animals and people of his surroundings, their living together and side by side in a secluded northwestern European landscape, the tiny place in the cosmos whose rotating suns are always present.
