Product details

What interest groups strive for and how they should act has primarily been examined from the perspective of those actively involved. This book turns the analysis around and asks from the perspective of dependent employees what they expect from workplace interest groups. The basis of the study is a representative survey of dependent employees in Germany. Using the responses of over 3,000 participants, the authors illustrate what expectations employees have of their interest representatives. Since dependent employees are not a homogeneous group, the study further investigates whether these expectations can be classified based on different social environments and discusses the factors on which these expectations depend. The results documented in this volume are intended as foundational research on a previously neglected topic.
