This book systematically examines the situation of women and men in private enterprises in Germany. It covers topics such as occupational segregation, gender-specific income differences, working hours, quality of work, representation in leadership positions, as well as atypical and precarious employment. The authors provide a comprehensive overview of the current research status in these areas and broaden the perspective through new empirical analyses. This results in a multifaceted picture of gender relations at the organizational level. Furthermore, the corporate equality policy is placed within the context of various international policy approaches, and activities aimed at promoting gender equality in the workplace are discussed. From the systematic overview of the key fields and actors in corporate equality policies, conclusions can be drawn.
