Product details

Janosch, born in 1931 in Zaborze/Upper Silesia, completed an apprenticeship as a blacksmith and locksmith after the war. Following his resettlement, he worked as a laborer in a textile factory and began his artistic career in the 1950s in Munich. He is now internationally renowned as an illustrator, storyteller, and novelist, with over a hundred of his own books for children and adults. He has received numerous awards for his work, including the Prix Jeunesse, the Prix Danube, and the German Youth Literature Prize/Picture Book. Janosch lives and works in Tenerife.
