The photographer Maurice Schobinger has been documenting the work on the Gotthard Base Tunnel with his camera since 1999. In 2002, he published a book titled "Gothard, via subalpina." The photographs for this book were carefully selected from his vast archive. They do not have a documentary character; rather, they aim to showcase the atmosphere inside, the complexity, and the aesthetics of the work process. The publication serves as an artistic homage to this monumental structure and thus differs from other publications that will be released for the opening.
