Those reading Husserl's writings for the first time are confronted with an almost impenetrable complex of conceptual connections. Another difficulty lies in Husserl's terminology. Terms like "consciousness experience" and "intentional experience" often lead to psychological misunderstandings. Therefore, providing an introduction requires a careful balancing act in terms of terminological translation work. If one rigidly adheres to Husserl's terminology, nothing is explained; however, too much freedom with the original terms loses the connection to the concept being explained. Peter Prechtl finds a middle ground by making the relevant terms' intended meanings visible while also drawing on Husserl's own descriptions.
