In 2015, the British government enacts a variety of measures to combat the advancing climate change and the resulting natural disasters. From then on, the amount of CO2 that citizens are allowed to produce is strictly limited. In her diary, 16-year-old Laura processes not only her adjustment to the new living conditions, which is complicated by her father's job loss and her sister's refusal to comply with the legal requirements, but also her feelings for the attractive boy next door and the tensions with her band.
