The textbook "Chinese - Language Practice in Everyday Life" is a current resource for German-speaking learners of Chinese. It is aimed at anyone who wants to gain insight into the everyday life of the Chinese and wishes to engage in simple conversations in China in a relatively short time. Therefore, it primarily focuses on the colloquial language of modern Standard Chinese. The textbook covers a basic vocabulary of around 600 characters or 700 words, as well as communicative sentence structures across 20 lessons. Texts related to everyday communication situations form the foundation upon which grammar and exercises are built. The presentation of Chinese customs and traditions, as well as the current situation and development of China, serves as supplementary background information, helping learners navigate the Middle Kingdom more easily.
