The Swiss journalist Hermann Stegemann, who served as a correspondent for the Bernese daily newspaper Der Bund during World War I, presents a comprehensive and detailed history of the war in his four-volume work based on his column Zur Kriegslage. The third volume covers the events of the naval war in the North and Baltic Seas from August 1914 to February 1915, as well as the battle events on the European continent from February 1915 to January 1916, including the Balkan and Dardanelles campaigns. This is an unaltered reprint of the original edition from 1919.
