Where does happiness lie, if not in the rose garden? After the death of her husband and the departure of her children, botanist Sandra seeks a fresh start for herself. She buys an old gardener's house on Usedom by the Baltic Sea, which comes with a wild but uniquely beautiful rose garden. However, caring for the delicate plants proves to be more challenging than she expected, prompting her to consult British rose expert Julian.
