Tommy Russo, an unemployed actor, spends his days betting on horse and dog races. At night, he works as a bouncer in a bar in Manhattan. When the opportunity arises for him to become the owner of a racehorse, Tommy is determined to seize this chance. There's just one small problem - he needs $10,000.
