Kai thinks nothing of it when he receives a strange call from his former friend Thomas, in which he asks him to retrieve and hide something from his apartment. The subsequent text message doesn't really concern him either, but by the next day, he realizes that Thomas seems to have gotten himself into something that has led to him being pursued. As a result of the call, Kai himself is now in trouble and is threatened by a stranger at work. Not wanting to go to the police but still feeling that he has been drawn into a rather unpleasant situation, he turns to his friend Benedikt, who is very clever but also quite headstrong.
