Product details

The book provides an introduction to the quantitative methods of empirical social research, which everyone encounters repeatedly—whether as a student, pupil, in a profession, or in everyday life. The first part covers data collection methods such as interviews or content analysis, while the second part focuses on data analysis techniques (statistics). The book includes two computer disks: the first disk contains the statistics program MYSTAT, and the second disk contains the surveys discussed in the book. This allows readers to replicate the examples presented in the book on a PC and independently conduct further analyses. The goal is twofold: on one hand, readers should gain a better understanding of empirical social research and be able to critically evaluate it after reading the book. On the other hand, it should also enable anyone interested to work independently using the described methods.
