The application of statistical methods is significantly facilitated today by the availability of statistical software. Creating frequency distributions, measures, confidence intervals, and tests can be done "at the push of a button" after entering the data. However, this advantage also has its downsides. Often, there is a lack of understanding of the calculations that the computer performs. The result is incorrect or misleading interpretations of the computer results. This book aims to help understand simple univariate and multivariate statistical methods to avoid such misinterpretations. Each method is worked through and explained using a simple numerical example.
