In this first part of "Stochastics Compact," Heinz Klaus Strick explains the fundamental concepts related to probability theory and statistics. The study concludes with an examination of the properties of binomial distributions. The author, Heinz Klaus Strick, worked as a teacher of mathematics and physics at a high school for 37 years. He became well-known through his subject-specific didactic essays, textbooks, lectures, and teaching assignments at various universities. In 2002, he was awarded the Archimedes Prize by the MNU for his contributions and particularly for his insights into the teaching of stochastics.
