At the foot of the Styrian Erzberg lies the town of Eisenerz. The mining and smelting of ore shaped the history and appearance of this place for many centuries. The rich mining heritage of Eisenerz continues to live on today in the houses of the old town and its surroundings. Over 200 mostly unpublished photographic documents illustrate 100 years of Eisenerz's history from 1870 to 1970.
